libspatialite5 software package provides Geospatial extension for SQLite - libraries, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libspatialite5
libspatialite5 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libspatialite5 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libspatialite5 *
You will get with libspatialite5 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
